One From The Vault 1
The ETT Club is fortunate enough to have an Archive of cuttings , photographs and journals going back well over 100 years. The Club’s annual magazine – Thumbprints – has been produced for around 50 years and is an invaluable source of information on both the club and the breed. The club is taking several steps to make the Archive more accessible and will be reproducing articles written over the years by some of the best known breeders and owners. Much of the collection was put together by Dorothy Hammett (Breed Historian 1984-94) and Ruth Kitson (Archivist 1994-2021). In 1990 current Club President Richard Haynes was Editor of Thumbprints. As part of the Xmas issue for that year he visited Dorothy tto see her collection. It is quite appropriate that his note of the visit starts off our ” One From The Vault Series).
